“Just So You Know” is the lead single off DJ K.O.’s upcoming EP, Living Out A State of Mind Vol. 2. The track introduces Elementality’s newest emcee, MadKem, to the world over a soulful Analogic beat.
Keeping with the traditional formatting of the vinyl days, we’ve got a “B-Side” to liberate for this new Digital 12″. “The Epidemic” again features MadKem on the mic with DaveNotti providing that grimy rawness on the boards that hip-hop heads have come to expect with B-Sides.
Back on November 10, 2009, DJ K.O. embarked on a year long campaign to release 12 EP’s in 12 months. Vol. 2 is set to drop December 15th and pick up right where Vol. 1 left off. A little over a year ago DJ K.O. burst onto the scene with his debut album Picture This… which featured some of hip-hop’s illest emcees and producers. The compilation paired up artists like Talib Kweli, Royce Da 5′9″, Phonte, eLZhi and more over beats from the likes of 9th Wonder, Black Milk & !llmind to name a few.
He’s now returned to the scene again with Living Out A State of Mind Vol. 1, the first installment of a year long series of EP’s that will be released on a monthly basis.

“80’s Babies” is the latest single off DJ K.O.’s soon to be released EP which brings together two of Elementality’s finest emcees on the mic yet again. On this particular track you’ll even find that K.O. has gotten behind the boards to craft the sonic backdrop for East & Silent Knight to reminisce on being a child born and raised in the 80’s.
