M.A.S.K. (Making Art Sound Kool) was the first official release from the Waco, Texas trio, Strange Fruit Project, in over 3 years. After a few months they released the acappellas & instrumentals for all the producers and DJ’s of the world. Brazil took notice.

Laudz, an up & coming producer representing Curitiba, Brazil, was inspired to add his touch to the group’s release. The remix EP showcases his knack for infectious melodies and larger than life production. There is no doubt Laudz took these acappellas and made them his own.

As a member of the Elementality family, Laudz has produced tracks for artists like Silent Knight, MadKem & M. Josephine as part of DJ K.O.’s Living Out A State of Mind EP series.

Picture These Remixes, dropping March 2nd, 2010, is one of the latest Hip-Hop releases to be featured in the iTunes Indie Spotlight.  After a six year hiatus, Beat*Society has teamed up with DJ K.O. to remix his critically acclaimed album Picture This.  Prepare to be knocked out by this compilation of hip-hop heavyweights sharing tracks with the industries illest up and coming emcees and producers.

The result from opening the vaults of K.O.’s album for the next generation of Beat*Society producers is a tribute to hip-hop’s past, present, and future. The years were 2005 through 2007 and I used to do blends all the time to play on my radio show on WRSU-FM (Rutgers University).  I always thought it was dope to have something fresh and exclusive for the listeners you know?!!???!!?!! Well back in ‘07 I had put together a collection of those blends and made some promo copies to give away to callers and as freebies for shows that Silent Knight was performing at.

Picking up where Pt. 1 left off, the track continues to document the story of Elementality. Pt. 2 goes back to the days of 2005 where SK, Analogic & DJ K.O. were begining to establish themselves in the industry.

Keeping with the traditional formating of the vinyl days, we’ve got a “B-Side” to liberate for this new Digital 12″. While some are becoming familar with DaveNotti as a producer, “Destroy” introduces the world to him as an emcee. He’s assisted on the boards by fellow Portland, OR resident Hi-Res.
