DJ K.O. & the Elementality family return with the 5th installment in a year long series of EP’s that will be released on a monthly basis. Living Out A State of Mind Vol. 5 finds Silent Knight and MadKem predominantly on the mic along with a contribution from veteran lyricist, Wordsworth. Production is handled by Analogic, DaveNotti & Laudz this go round.

Back on November 10, 2009, DJ K.O. embarked on a year long campaign to release 12 EP’s in 12 months. Living Out A State of Mind Vol. 5 is certain to pick up right where Vol. 1 through 4 left off. Laudz Remixes Latest EP from Strange Fruit Project

M.A.S.K. (Making Art Sound Kool) was the first official release from the Waco, Texas trio, Strange Fruit Project, in over 3 years. After a few months they released the acappellas & instrumentals for all the producers and DJ’s of the world. Brazil took notice.

Laudz, an up & coming producer representing Curitiba, Brazil, was inspired to add his touch to the group’s release. The remix EP showcases his knack for infectious melodies and larger than life production. There is no doubt Laudz took these acappellas and made them his own.

As a member of the Elementality family, Laudz has produced tracks for artists like Silent Knight, MadKem & M. Josephine as part of DJ K.O.’s Living Out A State of Mind EP series.

“Força” is the latest single off DJ K.O.’s EP, Living Out A State of Mind Vol. 3, which showcases Silent Knight’s inspirational social commentary and M. Josephine’s powerful chorus over an anthemic beat by upcoming Brazilian producer, Laudz.

Keeping with the traditional formatting of the vinyl days, we’ve got a “B-Side” to liberate for this new Digital 12″. “Get ‘Em (Remix)” features Silent Knight, Skyzoo & Emilio Rojas trading bars over production from Neenah, an upcoming producer/singer from the Netherlands. This track is taken from DJ K.O.’s upcoming release with Beat*Society dropping April 6th titled Master Thieves 02: Picture These Remixes.

A little over a year ago DJ K.O. burst onto the scene with his debut album Picture This… which featured some of hip-hop’s illest emcees and producers.
